Teaching Assistant Job Description:
This part-time Teaching Assistant position is available at a secondary school in Leyland. The successful candidate will work on a temporary contract, with the possibility of being offered a permanent position after a successful probation period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom, on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Working closely with class teachers and SENDCo to implement individualized plans
- Assisting with daily lessons and activities, promoting a positive learning environment
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
- Excellent behavior management skills and ability to handle challenging situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues
Estimated Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
