Senior Researcher - Social Surveys Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher to lead our social surveys team at the National Centre for Social Research. As a Senior Researcher, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and analyzing comprehensive social surveys that inform public policies and social programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of social surveys, ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis.
  • Develop and test quantitative data collection instruments and other relevant survey material.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis to a very good standard, using tools such as SPSS or R.
  • Develop a good knowledge of policy and/or methodological areas, and contribute to the overall design and implementation of research projects.
  • Manage and deliver high-quality research studies, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, funders, and partners, and experience of managing and/or analysing data using SPSS or R.
  • Experience of conducting surveys online and/or with probability-based samples.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Good understanding of a range of research methods, with expertise in surveys.
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods and experience of managing and delivering high-quality research studies.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work well under pressure and to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Experience of building positive relationships with customers/funders/partners.
  • Relevant postgraduate degree.
