Woodland Group is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Coordinator to join our Asia Team at our Head Office in Chelmsford, Essex. As the first point of contact for customers, you will be responsible for resolving any problems or concerns related to the receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
About the Role:
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key customers to drive business growth.
- Communicate with customers to ensure their needs are met and all necessary measures are in place.
- Liaise with the Customs Department to ensure timely receipt of documents.
- Coordinate with overseas agents/partners to monitor customer orders and update customers accordingly.
- Support the Sales team by handling rate quotations and following up with customers.
- Proactively communicate with customers to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Be a focal point for all queries from key account customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Operations team to improve processes and business performance.
- Support changes in the role necessary to drive departmental and business growth.
- Meet personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.
- Achieve agreed individual objectives.
- Understand and adhere to all Woodland policies and procedures relevant to the role.
Requirements:
- Forwarding (ocean imports) customer service experience, preferably with Asia trade.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work within key deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to improving processes.
- Self-motivation, drive, and ambition, with a desire to achieve great success and contribute to a great place to work.
