About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Sustainability Specialist to join our team at TUI. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing fuel efficiency and emission reduction initiatives to achieve future sustainability targets.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze data from ongoing emission reduction research projects and present findings on various topics related to sustainability and decarbonization in aviation.
  • Develop and utilize data analytics tools to improve operations and decision-making.
  • Support airline emission reporting requirements to external agencies.
  • Prepare periodic reports for Boards or Steering Group meetings to show progress and impact of initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in aerospace/aeronautical engineering or advanced degree (Post Graduate).
  • Familiarity with aircraft performance modelling and software.
  • Strong programming background (Python, Matlab).
  • Knowledge of machine learning tools and data analytics software (Tableau and R) is preferable.
  • Interest in decarbonizing the aviation sector with knowledge of aviation-related emissions and Sustainable Aviation Fuels.
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze complex problems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
