Exciting Opportunity for a Social Work Principal Manager

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency with a strong reputation for excellence, is seeking an experienced Social Work Principal Manager to join our client's well-established Adults service in Merthyr Tydfil.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve operational outcomes for the Adult Assessment services.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals in care management, adult mental health, and initial support services.
  • Ensure effective delivery of services, including adult safeguarding, carers support, and community OT.
  • Monitor performance and address any negative changes to achieve performance targets.
  • Deputise for the Head of Service as required and provide temporary management oversight.
  • Maximise resource use and monitor effectiveness in delivering service aims and priorities.
Requirements:
  • Social Work or related health qualification.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Ability to establish and maintain performance management and quality assurance systems.
  • Experience of managing an Adult team or equivalent service.
  • Evidence of successful budgetary management.
  • Experience of working within Adult Safeguarding requirements.
  • Car driver with business insurance cover.
