About the Job:

This 4-year apprenticeship program is an excellent opportunity to develop your mechanical engineering skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industry. As a Heavy Equipment Service Specialist with Briggs Equipment Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' heavy equipment fleets.

You will work closely with our experienced team to diagnose and repair complex issues, ensuring that our customers' operations run efficiently. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment, including inspections and repairs
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English, Science, and Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Prior work or voluntary experience in a related field (desirable)
  • Basic IT skills and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. After completing the 4-year program, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified Engineer with a salary expectation of £50,000+.
