About the Role:

As a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice with Briggs Equipment Ltd, you will be responsible for gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic industry while developing your mechanical engineering skills. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the success of our customers' operations.

You will work closely with our team to diagnose and repair complex issues, ensuring that our customers' operations run efficiently. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced engineers in performing routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment
  • Contribute to diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English, Science, and Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Prior work or voluntary experience in a related field (desirable)
  • Basic IT skills and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. After completing the 4-year program, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified Engineer with a salary expectation of £45,000+.
