Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our Edinburgh team. As a Senior Cost Manager, you'll work on a range of industry-leading infrastructure projects, developing your skills and expertise in cost management and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
- Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow.
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
- Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
- Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and budgeting.
- Provide commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Lead people and commissions as needed.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and contract management skills.
- Experience with NEC3, Option C, and cost management.
- Strong understanding of cost management, change management, and valuation.
- Ability to identify and drive efficiencies and improvements.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant subject and/or professional body membership.
