Job Summary:

The Goods Receiver will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries, whether food or non-food items, are correctly received and stored in line with Health & Safety regulations and brand standard policies. This role will work closely with the Food Buyer to accept goods and deliveries for all departments and distribute them accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and assist in the compliance of Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure that all Fire regulations are maintained by ensuring that the Fire Exits are not blocked.
  • Be familiar with and practice the safe handling, care, and storage of all equipment.
  • Ensure that all maintenance issues have been recorded correctly, and that all mechanical and manual equipment are used as instructed.
  • Report any machine defects to the maintenance team and ensure that the correct action is taken.
  • Ensure that all goods received by the Loading Bay are of the correct quality, quantity, and description as per Purchase Order.
  • Ensure that all Delivery Notes are signed, and time stamped by receiver and delivery temperature recorded as appropriate, and copies are forwarded to the Chefs.
  • Record any damaged goods received on Delivery Note and report to Head Chef.
  • Notify or deliver goods received to the various departments as appropriate.
  • Ensure relevant procedures are carried out at all times in relation to Health & Safety, Hygiene, Security, Fire, and Emergencies procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure that the Loading Bay is kept clean, tidy, and in hygienic conditions at all times.
  • Ensure that your team follows and complies with sanitation and cleaning procedures and pest control guidelines, reporting pest control issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure that all associates on shift are using equipment and utensils in the correct manner and hygienically, following laid down hygiene measures.
  • Prepare all foods in accordance with HACCP procedures and monitor the production and service of these foods daily.
  • Ensure that all documentation relating to food safety, hygiene, sanitizing, HACCP, temperature control, cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing is completed on shift and that any discrepancies are noted and flagged to the Executive Sous Chef.
  • Ensure flawless compliance with local and national government and company food safety, health, and hygiene procedures.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Previous experience with Food and Beverage receiving/ordering.
