Job Title: Senior Event Coordinator

The University of Reading is seeking a highly organized and motivated Senior Event Coordinator to join our Venue Reading team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating a variety of events to maximize revenue generation for the University.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and supervise conference, events, and function business to ensure optimum efficiency and profitable utilization of University facilities.
  • Work closely with the Event Manager and Head of Events and Conference Operations to successfully manage the portfolio of events throughout the year.
  • Develop and implement strategies to match client requirements to University facilities, ensuring maximum revenue generation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution and delivery.
Requirements:
  • Experience in event management, customer service, and communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and stick to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of conference business trends and the ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
