Job Description

As a Royal Air Force (RAF) Medic, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to Defence personnel in challenging environments. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the health and well-being of our personnel, both in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide airfield medical crash cover and pre-hospital emergency care.
  • Manage receipt and storage of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals in medical stores, issuing of medications.
  • Maintain the electronic and paper medical records, monitoring the occupational health of Defence personnel.
Requirements
  • Be aged 16 – 47 years old (Must attest before 48th birthday).
  • Be a citizen of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, holder of dual UK/other nationality or have been a Commonwealth citizen since birth (with 'right to work' immigration status).
  • Commit minimum 3 years post Phase Two Training.
  • Meet the health and fitness criteria.

Training and Career

As an RAF Medic, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop your skills and knowledge. You will receive basic and specialist training in your field, and have the opportunity to gain further qualifications and experience.

Throughout your career, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles, including Aeromedical Evacuation, Deployable Aeromedical Response Teams, Critical Care Air Support Teams, and Special Forces Medical Deployment Teams.
