Volunteer Opportunity at Union Chapel Project

Union Chapel Project is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Archivist Volunteer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the cataloging and organization of historical documents and artifacts.

About the Role:

  • Assist in the processing and cataloging of historical documents and artifacts
  • Conduct research and gather information on local history and its significance
  • Collaborate with the team to develop educational programs and exhibitions
  • Gain experience in archival work and develop skills in record-keeping, documentation, and research

Requirements:

  • Degree in History, Archives, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with archival software and procedures
