English Department Head Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our English department as Assistant Head of Learning (HoLA). This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong passion for girls' education and a commitment to shaping a future-focused curriculum.

The successful candidate will prioritize building a relational and responsive culture within the department, fostering a team spirit of collaboration among staff, and encouraging reflective practice. They will work closely with the Head of Learning for English to ensure the quality delivery of the curriculum and promote school improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the English department in developing and implementing a future-focused curriculum
  • Foster a relational and responsive culture within the department
  • Collaborate with staff to promote reflective practice and school improvement
  • Work closely with the Head of Learning for English to ensure curriculum quality
  • Advocate for equitable and excellent outcomes for students

What We Offer:

  • 2 Management Units (MUs) and 1 Management Management Allocation (MMA)
  • 4 hours release time per fortnight for departmental responsibilities
  • Standard teacher non-contact allocation under the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement 2022-2025
