About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Class 3 Building Control Inspector to join our team in Luton. As a key member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will undertake Building Control functions on High Risk Buildings (HRB's) and supervise other Registered Building Control Inspectors.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Building Control, working on Class 3 building types, with post-qualification experience in restricted activities and functions, and enforcement. You must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a building inspector, with demonstrable competency to work without supervision on HRB's (Class 3 category G, H).

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake specialist or technical assessments/activities and make decisions on those assessments, using skills gained through qualifications and practical experience, to effectively deliver the Building Control function
  • Assessing dangerous structures and implementing immediate remedial works
  • Managing and evaluating a caseload of developments, with specific focus on complex schemes and premises, including those in scope with the building safety regulator
