This is a fantastic opportunity for a Class 3 Building Control Inspector to join one of the UK's Local Government Organisations in a highly technical and autonomous role offering excellent benefits and career progression opportunities.
In this role, you will undertake Building Control functions as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) as appointed by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) on High Risk Buildings (HRB's), adhering to the required process and activities specified by the BSR and supervise other Registered Building Control Inspectors who will benefit from your experience and knowledge in the industry.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Building Control, working on Class 3 building types, together with post qualification experience (including restricted activities and functions, and enforcement).
You must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a building inspector, with demonstrable competency to work without supervision on high-risk buildings (HRB's) (Class 3 category G, H).

To undertake specialist or technical assessments/activities and make decisions on those assessments, using skills that would have been gained through qualifications and practical experience, to effectively deliver the Building Control function
Assessing dangerous structures and implementing immediate remedial works
To be able to effectively manage and evaluate a caseload of a full range of developments with specific focus on more complex schemes and premises including those in scope with the building safety regulator, examining plans and carrying out site inspections, initiating and dealing with enforcement action
