Job Overview

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on refurbishment and maintenance projects, with experience in quantity surveying and construction contracts. They will need to possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities
  1. Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates
  2. Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
  3. Manage variations and claims
  4. Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
  5. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  6. Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
  7. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions

Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on refurbishment and maintenance projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £52,500 - £72,500 + package, depending on experience.
