About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Business Support Officer to join our dynamic team at NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board. As a key member of the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) team, you will play a vital role in supporting the scheduling function of the business team and liaising with stakeholders, including members of the public and NHS partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist administration support and advice to the team, including day-to-day supervision of the administration team.
  • Support the CHC business team to ensure that the portfolio of tasks and projects is planned, managed, and delivered effectively.
  • Act as a point of contact for the department, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing professional and well-informed responses.
  • Respond appropriately to queries and complaints, ensuring all matters are dealt with in accordance with policy.
  • Manage electronic filing systems, ensuring confidentiality is maintained in accordance with Information Governance regulations.
  • Support colleagues with training, induction, and personal development, providing practical guidance in a variety of tasks and duties.
  • Coordinate agendas and papers for meetings, taking and transcribing minutes to a high standard.
  • Promptly and accurately produce letters, memos, reports, tables, minutes, presentations, and other documents.
Person Specification
  • Minimum GCSE qualification in English Language & Maths or equivalent.
  • RSA III word processing or equivalent experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 administration or significant relevant experience.
  • Evidence of continuous personal development.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Evidence of continuous personal development.
  • Extensive organisational skills and competencies.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all administration support and duties.
  • Very accurate word processing skills & attention to detail.
