Senior Auditor Job Opportunity

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Bexley to assist with the appointment of a Senior Auditor on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Assurance and Audit Manager in providing assurance on the effectiveness of the Council's systems of internal control, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Work closely with senior management to agree improvements to the ways in which the Council operates.
  • Develop and encourage clear channels of two-way communication with clients throughout the conduct of audit engagements.
  • Contribute to discussions of findings with Heads of Service Directors and agree Management Action Plans for the implementation of recommendations.
  • Report significant risk or governance issues arising from the audits undertaken.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and significant relevant experience.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (IIA) or equivalent; OR Part-qualified or part-qualified and studying for a CCAB recognised qualification.

Important Notes:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
