We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. in a 3-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Assurance and Audit Manager to provide assurance on the effectiveness of the Council's systems of internal control, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Work closely with senior management to identify and implement improvements to the Council's operations.
  • Develop and maintain clear channels of communication with clients throughout audit engagements.
  • Contribute to discussions of findings with Heads of Service Directors and agree on Management Action Plans for the implementation of recommendations.
  • Report significant risk or governance issues arising from audits.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and significant relevant experience.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (IIA) or equivalent; or Part-qualified or part-qualified and studying for a CCAB recognised qualification.

  • Candidates should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • Candidates should have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
