Job Title: Head of Legal Practice

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal Practice to join our team at Candidate Source. This role is responsible for overseeing the governance, risk, and compliance of our estate administration and probate services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the operation remains compliant with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct initial reviews and periodic ongoing assessments of all cases to identify and manage risks.
  • Oversight of business complaints-handling procedures and sign off correspondence.
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to meet legal requirements and organisational objectives.
  • Manage succession planning and business continuity planning to ensure continuity of service provision.
  • Act as a key client contact, providing technical expertise and influencing operational outcomes.
  • Participate in financial performance and budget, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimisation.
  • Supervise CASS to administer weekly attestation of compliance.
  • Detailed knowledge of inheritance tax rules, accounting, and procedures, as well as Income and Capital Gains Tax compliance in estate administration.
