Mechanical Calibration Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Calibration Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a precision Mechanical metrology laboratory environment and a deep understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025 / ISO 9001).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise high-level calibration / repair of Mechanical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE)
- Write, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets
- Take part in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and achieve UKAS signatory status
- Deliver specific on-the-job training / experiential learning to apprentices / lesser-experienced team members
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders on new measurement technologies
