Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our innovative Neurosciences team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a specialist in stroke and neurology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex neurological conditions.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with complex neurological conditions.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to junior staff and students on the assessment and treatment of patients with stroke and neurology.
  • Contribute to the development of new skills and knowledge within the team, including the assessment and treatment of tone, spasticity management, and complex seating systems.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and effective discharge planning.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist who:

  • Has a BSc in Occupational Therapy and is registered with the Health Professions Council.
  • Has specialist clinical knowledge and experience in stroke and neurology.
  • Has experience of multidisciplinary team working and supervisory skills.
