About the Role

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join their team at HMP Bristol. As a Paramedic Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in a secure environment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, develop care plans, and provide routine healthcare services to patients in a secure setting.
  • Work closely with mental health professionals to identify, assess, and manage individuals in crisis.
  • Provide education and support to patients on health-related issues, promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing health inequalities.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, including doctors and nurses, to ensure high standards of care and safety protocols are maintained.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, research, and audit to ensure evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Recognised higher education qualification in Nursing or Paramedic Science.
  • NMC or HCPC registration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Emergency Nurse Practitioner-led care and treatments in a prison environment.
  • Emotionally resilient and able to deal with trauma injuries.
