LTF Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs in a mainstream school. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life by providing tailored educational and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with ASD, focusing on managing behaviour and supporting their academic progress.
* Implement strategies from the pupil's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and adapt learning activities to meet their specific needs.
* Assist with behaviour management and ensure the safety and engagement of the pupil throughout the school day.
* Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to monitor progress and update support strategies as needed.
* Utilise Manual Handling or Team Teach training to manage challenging behaviours safely and effectively.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with ASD and behavioural challenges is essential.
* Relevant qualifications and Manual Handling or Team Teach training are required.
* A patient, empathetic approach and strong behaviour management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with the school team and adapt to the pupil's changing needs.
