About the Role

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Outpatient Receptionist to join our team. As an Outpatient Receptionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient clinics.

Main Responsibilities

  • Check in patients, update contact information, and book appointments
  • Record clinical outcomes and book ambulances as needed
  • Provide reception cover for outpatient clinics and deal with telephone queries
  • Calculate and authorize patient travel expenses
  • Collect case notes from the Medical Records Department and organize the OPD department reception desk
  • Provide cover for colleagues in the event of sickness and holidays

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administrative role without direct supervision
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • IT literacy and ability to maintain confidentiality
