About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Financial Operations Assistant to join our Corporate Finance team.

The role is based in County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, but the Council predominantly operates through flexible working from various locations, including home and local offices. This allows for excellent work-life balance and flexibility.

About You

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong numerical reasoning skills and confidence using Microsoft Excel. A can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to help and support colleagues is essential.

This is an entry-level position into the Corporate Finance department, providing an excellent opportunity to start or further your career. The Council offers professional study support and encourages career development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in monthly planning routines to monitor service spend and analyze staffing data
  • Review regular forecasts and assist with budget planning
  • Maintain systems and procedures for effective financial operation of the Council
  • Respond to financial queries to provide robust, timely, and accurate financial information
  • Complete regular reconciliations of financial codes

You will be required to take a test on Microsoft Excel as part of the interview process.

Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this position is £20,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience. The Council also offers a range of benefits, including professional study support and opportunities for career development.
