About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a Primary Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, in-person tuition to learners who require additional support in Maths, English, and Science.

Our learners are based throughout the West Midlands, particularly in Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton, and Worcester. You will work with learners who require dedicated, in-person support to enable their academic success. We are looking for an engaging teacher or tutor who is experienced in supporting KS1/KS2 English, Maths, or Science and who would relish the opportunity to work with students in their own homes or schools delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire, and teach.
  • Monitor your learner's progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with your learner's guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.
Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
