Social Work Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, working on a full-time basis in Guildford, Surrey.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide support to children, families, and carers with complex needs, adhering to legal frameworks, policies, and guidance.
- Build effective relationships with professionals, both internally and externally, to help children and families improve their lives and gain control over their communities.
- Carry out assessments and plan responses to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, or exploitation, fostering strong relationships with children, adults, and families as necessary.
- Arrange alternative care options, including permanent homes, in collaboration with children, young people, and their parents/carers when necessary.
- Promote autonomy and development among individuals with complex social needs, such as those with learning disabilities or diminished capacity.
- Maintain accurate and high-quality records of activity on cases and participate in planning and decision-making forums.
- Act as Practice Educators for social work students on practice placements or Assessors for Newly Qualified Workers completing their ASYE.
- Work with communities, families, and individuals to maximise their personal strengths, social networks, and resources.
- Hold a caseload of complexity and provide guidance, support, and expert advice to social care staff, students, and newly qualified social workers as needed.
Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
