Education Support Role

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive educator to support vulnerable young people with Special Educational Needs & Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in an education setting.

Our specialist school is designed to equip children between 11-16 years old with lifelong skills to give them the best opportunity for success in adulthood. This includes reforming challenging behaviours, providing pastoral support and giving them the tools to navigate their difficult emotions.

As a member of our team, you will be classroom based, assisting the class teacher with day-to-day routines, delivering interventions as guided and adapting to each child's individual needs each day. These children and teenagers may have experienced trauma, family breakdowns and other mental health difficulties, so you will need to be patient, resilient and confident in your ability to learn on the job.

We will support you with:

  • Offering relevant training, including autism awareness and Team Teach
  • Trial preparation
  • Ongoing support from your consultant throughout the vetting checks and applying for a DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
