Job Overview

The Foster Care and Adoption Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. Working within our Adoption Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for all parties involved in the adoption process.

Main Duties:
  • Supporting birth families to ensure the safety and well-being of their children.
  • Exploring innovative solutions to care, preventing unnecessary entry into the care system.
  • Conducting thorough assessments of prospective foster carers.
  • Developing and delivering high-quality training programs for foster carers.
  • Matching children with suitable adoptive families, considering their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Overseeing the preparation and transition of children for adoption, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Facilitating post-adoption contact arrangements, promoting healthy relationships.
  • Providing comprehensive support throughout the adoption process.
Essential Skills:
  • Relevant degree in Social Work.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Children Act 1989.
  • Strong understanding of child development theories.
Salary Package:

£42,000 - £47,000 per annum.
