About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Child Protection and Support Professional to join our Adoption Team. The successful candidate will work closely with birth families, exploring alternatives to care and matching children with adoptive families.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting birth families through difficult times.
  2. Working collaboratively with other professionals to find alternative solutions to care.
  3. Assessing potential foster carers to ensure they meet the required standards.
  4. Delivering training programs for foster carers to equip them with the necessary skills.
  5. Making life-changing matches between children and adoptive families.
  6. Coordinating the transition process for children moving into new homes.
  7. Facilitating post-adoption contact arrangements to maintain relationships.
  8. Providing ongoing support to all parties involved in the adoption process.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Degree in Social Work.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Children Act 1989.
  • Understanding of child development principles.
Salary Range:

£38,000 - £43,000 per year.
