Job Type: Full-Time, Weekdays and Weekends (5 Days)

Reports to: The Student Support Manager, and the Director of Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey. This includes providing personalized support, answering enquiries, and collaborating with academic and administrative staff to identify and address student concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to students in areas such as academic progress, personal issues, and career guidance
  • Act as the primary point of contact for students via email, phone, and in-person enquiries
  • Answering enquiries and providing information, abiding by the universities policies and procedures
  • Managing student attendance and absences as per the universities policies
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to identify and address student concerns, and provide feedback on academic progress
  • Providing regular and accurate reports to the university and partner universities
  • Monitoring and tracking student attendance, academic progress, and behaviour, and intervene where necessary
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support services and policies
  • Ensure continuous delivery of quality service, acting as a representative of the university

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent customer service skills, and communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by students in higher education and an ability to provide appropriate support
  • Working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge in Microsoft Suites
  • A commitment to upholding the school's values and policies
