We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Specialist to join our team at Avocet Legal in Plymouth.
This role presents an opportunity for a dedicated professional to work with a well-established law firm known for their practical, client-focused approach to legal services.

Key Responsibilities:- Support fee earners in managing residential property transactions, ensuring seamless communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Handle client correspondence, maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
- Prepare and process legal documentation, including contracts, transfers, and mortgage deeds, adhering to relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct property searches and review results, providing timely updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to facilitate smooth transaction progression.
- Maintain accurate case files and update case management systems, ensuring compliance with SRA regulations.
- Assist with post-completion matters, including SDLT returns and registration, to ensure timely and efficient closure of transactions.
- Monitor deadlines and chase outstanding information from various parties, ensuring prompt resolution of any issues that may arise.
- Prepare completion statements and bills, accurately reflecting transaction details and costs.
- Handle client funds in accordance with SRA regulations, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the process.
- Previous residential conveyancing experience (minimum 2 years) is essential, with a strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, enabling effective prioritisation and task management.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring precision and quality in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Professional and client-focused approach, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, leveraging strengths to achieve shared goals.
