Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Planning Specialist to join our team at our Plant in Gateshead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing production plans according to demand and quality standards.

The Production Planning Specialist will assume responsibility to manage and maintain the production plans to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner to achieve customer demand.

This role is key to ensuring the smooth and cost-efficient operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products over various Machinery.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimize delays.
  • Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Schedule shifts according to production needs and customer commitment dates.
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
Requirements
  • Experience in a fast-paced production planning role.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Experience with planning nested trays and punnet forming machinery will be an advantage.
  • Able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment where commitments may regularly change through the shift.
