Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Correspondent Banking Adviser to join our team at Natwest. As a key member of our Financial Crime department, you will play a vital role in identifying, assessing, and managing risks related to Correspondent Banking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support to ensure the development and delivery of effective financial crime controls for our correspondent banking business.
  • Partner with other specialist advisory colleagues and business teams to ensure consistent implementation of a robust FC control framework.
  • Develop relationships across the industry and engage on regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with the second line of defence on the interpretation of policy, standards, and risk appetite.
  • Investigate complex queries through to resolution.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) and other financial crime regulatory requirements and how these apply to Correspondent Banking.
  • Significant FC experience, with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience of working within the approved governance to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of information, alternatives, and associated consequences.
  • Ability to successfully deliver both existing processes and ad-hoc accountabilities to the highest standards.
  • Ability to coach and build capability into the wider team.
