About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced Construction professional to lead our construction team as Head of Construction (South). As the successful candidate, you will report to the Regional Head of Delivery and oversee all aspects of planning, scheduling, building, and installations for high-value contracts.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver specialist construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead and develop the construction team with a clear vision and strategic direction.
  • Develop detailed project plans covering timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits, manage stock, and implement remedial actions as needed.
  • Manage work orders, permits, traffic management, and related administrative tasks.
  • Identify and cultivate outsourcing and subcontractor partnerships to meet regional demands.
  • Oversee regional construction budgets and ensure accurate monthly forecasting.
  • Maintain updated specifications, manuals, and technical information for all products.
  • Implement and uphold health and safety policies, ensuring adherence to traffic management requirements.


Requirements:



  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven track record in large-scale project delivery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of CDM and traffic management regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
