Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Hain Daniels Group. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Safety and Quality Management
    • Develop and implement food safety and quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Lead the food safety and quality assurance team to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of food safety and quality are integrated into the manufacturing process.
  • Management and Training
    • Lead and manage a team of technical staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all staff are aware of food safety and quality procedures.
    • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure that all staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Customer Contact
    • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, auditing bodies, and government agencies on food safety and quality matters.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to customers on food safety and quality related issues.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process and implement changes to improve efficiency and quality.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality management systems.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
