About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants at a SEN school in Milton Keynes. This rewarding role involves working with students aged 8-19 who have SEMH needs, including those with extremely challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support to students with SEN, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Offer general and 1-to-1 support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Manage and support challenging behaviours with confidence and professionalism, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care as needed, prioritizing the well-being and dignity of students.

Preferred Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience in a related field, such as SEN schools, support work, or youth offenders.
  • Experience with severely challenging behaviour and SEN, including SEMH.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing student safety and well-being.
  • A strong, confident presence, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Requirements:

  • A male candidate would be preferred due to the possibility of personal care requirements.
