Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital and Major Projects Procurement Manager to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the pipeline of upcoming capital projects, collaborating with stakeholders to pre-plan procurements, and selecting the most effective procurement routes.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the pipeline of upcoming capital projects, working closely with stakeholders to pre-plan procurements and maximize effectiveness.

• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, providing trusted procurement advice and guidance.

• Undertake procurements for construction, IT, clinical equipment, and other capital items, selecting the most suitable procurement route for each project.

• Manage high-value major project procurements for complex and diverse projects, ensuring best value for money and high service levels.

About the Role

Requirements

• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of three years' procurement experience, with a proven track record of delivering competitive procurements.

• Excellent comprehension, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and implement change in a challenging environment.

• Strong persuasion and influencing skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate large and complex projects.
