About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Look Ahead Care and Support. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities to live full and active lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals to develop independent living skills, including cooking, shopping, cleaning, and decorating.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify and achieve their life goals, and provide support to help them progress towards these objectives.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs of each customer.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to customers, promoting their mental wellbeing and resilience.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and commissioning teams, to ensure seamless support and care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and contribute to the development of our service through continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with Autism, Challenging Behaviour, or Learning Disabilities.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to drive as part of support duties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
