SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom support to students with SEN, promoting their academic and social development.
  • Assist teachers in implementing individualised education plans, ensuring students receive tailored support.
  • Aid in the development of students' skills, including academic and social abilities.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and resources, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, providing valuable insights for teachers and school administrators.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • GCSEs in English and Maths, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, showcasing a commitment to supporting vulnerable students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective collaboration with teachers and students.
Preferred Qualifications and Training
  • Teaching Assistant qualification, enhancing professional development and expertise.
  • Additional training in SEN support, demonstrating a proactive approach to professional growth.

This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation in the education and training industry. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
