Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatric Care Lead to join our Core Team at Birmingham Women's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and clinical guidance to junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services to adults aged 18-25.

The postholder will have expertise in psychiatric assessment, risk management, and medical treatment formulation, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. A strong understanding of mental health policy and evidence-based practice is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Core Team to deliver high-quality mental health services
  • Develop and implement care plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Collaborate with other senior medical colleagues to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development

Person Specification:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced adult psychiatric care lead who can demonstrate a strong track record of providing high-quality care to adults with complex mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have a CCT in General Adult Psychiatry, GMC full registration, and Section 12(2) approval.
