About the Job: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Purchasing Manager to join our Engineering team at Bakkavor Bourne. Our factory specializes in preparing fruit, leafy salads, and stir fry mixes, employing over 1,200 people and located only 16 miles from Peterborough and 12 miles from Spalding. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing site processes in relation to the control of engineering parts and components, contributing to site audits, interacting with site teams, and taking into consideration business operations, cost, and service level agreements.

You will lead and develop digital management processes, reports on food and drink inventory management, internal performance reports, asset management risk plans, contribute to internal and external audits, get involved in technical performance reviews, liaise with external suppliers, collaborate with other functions and stakeholders, and respond to breakdowns of food/drink packaging assets. You will also manage/conduct inventory interrogation to support reactive requests, develop corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement projects. We require experience within an FMCG environment, knowledge of engineering maintenance strategies, utility systems, and mechanical principals, safety, and control circuits. An engineering qualification (Level 2 or above) and IOSH Managing Safely (desirable) are essential. Additionally, we require experience in spare parts management, budgetary controls, decision-making, negotiation, planning works, and writing reports. Knowledge of CMMS and risk management is also essential.

We offer a competitive salary package of £52,000 - £57,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a highly competitive reward package that reflects our commitment to providing a safe and rewarding environment for our employees.
