Omega Resource Group is currently supporting a world-renowned automotive company in their search for a Senior Test Support Engineer.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Support Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Test Support Engineer, you will be working within the Test House to provide day-to-day testing support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver engineering solutions to meet engine test requirements on time.
  2. Cover investigation and resolution of faults with test equipment, including calibration and setup of pressure, temperature, torque, flow & humidity transducers.
  3. Root cause fault finding and resolving electrical, software, and mechanical testbed/rig issues.
  4. Specify, cost, plan, and deliver upgrades to the test facility.
  5. Assess and secure sub-contractor services for current equipment and manage their delivery.
  6. Improve departmental resources and capability by maintaining records and writing procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
  1. Extensive experience in supporting powertrain and rig/component testing in the automotive industry.
  2. Programming skills, including control loops, PID controllers, automated test routines.
  3. Experience in specification and delivery of test facility upgrades.
  4. Working with sub-contractors.
  5. Writing specifications, procedures, and documentation of work carried out.
  6. Programming experience (C or Visual Basic).
  7. Electronic and electrical circuit design knowledge.
