Skilled Careers is a leading construction and development group in the UK, delivering projects from initial design to completion.

We are seeking a Technical/Building Services Manager to oversee 3-4 projects in the London and surrounding areas, reporting to the Senior Building Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and public health services installations of schemes within the company's project portfolio.
  • Oversee the project delivery process, ensuring all works are fully coordinated and delivered in accordance with the contract programme.
  • Lead regular progress review meetings and prepare stage reports for weekly/monthly updates within the business.
  • Manage your own time, ensuring punctual project delivery.
Requirements
  • A relevant mechanical or building services qualification.
  • Considerable industry experience, ideally working for a large sub-contractor or main contractor delivering new build projects.
  • Previous new build project experience in education, health, commercial, or sports facilities.
  • Design management of live schemes and pre-construction activities.
  • A strong team player, comfortable liaising with differing management and client teams.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • A strong understanding of Quality, Safety, Environmental, and Legislative systems and procedures.
  • An appreciation of phasing and construction programming.
  • Ability to identify risk and opportunity.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Breeam, Part L, Building Regs, and industry standards.
