To ensure the efficient and effective operation of the store, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily store activities in accordance with the Society's policies and rules, with the objective of maximizing store profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Manage stock levels and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Conduct regular stock takes to monitor stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
- Maintain the security of the store, its contents, and staff in accordance with the Food Store Policy & Procedures Manual.
- Develop and implement effective induction processes for new staff members.
- Ensure all store staff are trained to an acceptable level in all in-store procedures and identify any training needs.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of hours of work, holidays, and sickness.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including Health & Safety Practices, Fire Precautions, Food Hygiene Controls, and licensing Laws.
- Sales performance to budget.
- Net profitability to budget.
