About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Academic Programme Coordinatorexperienced in Critical and Historical Studies, to join our team at the British Academy of Jewellery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to the development of our curriculum and teaching practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of curricula and teaching across our course that expands our students' understanding of critical and contextual directions in jewellery studies. They will also contribute significantly to the quality of learning and teaching, and the support our students receive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead curriculum initiatives that promote diversity and inclusivity in jewellery studies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and extend the educational and creative links between our course and other programmes within the academy.
  • Contribute to the devising and delivery of activities that benefit our students' educational experience and graduate outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant undergraduate and postgraduate degree in the subject or closely related discipline, as well as a deep understanding of key contemporary debates on the subject of contemporary jewellery. Experience of teaching and assessment in a higher education environment, particularly in a relevant field of practice, is essential. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit a diverse audience.

A competitive salary of £32,000-£39,000 FTE, plus benefits, awaits the successful candidate. The position is permanent, with 0.2 FTE hours of work.
