We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to join our team at Together. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our tax strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Tax Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive tax strategy that minimizes tax liabilities and optimizes our overall tax position.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all tax-related matters are handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and identify and mitigate any potential tax risks.
- Tax Planning and Advisory: Provide expert tax advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and senior management teams.
- External Relationships: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of tax-related projects and initiatives.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and/or tax certification (e.g., CTA).
- Experience: Proven experience working in a tax role within a financial services or similar regulated industry, with a strong understanding of UK tax laws and regulations.
- Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation and provide practical solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
