Job Title: Head of Marketing and Ecommerce

We are seeking an experienced Head of Marketing and Ecommerce to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, supports business growth, and enhances customer engagement across multiple markets and channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company's objectives, focusing on increasing market share, lead generation, and customer retention.
  • Strengthen the company's brand presence in the industry, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms (digital, print, and trade shows).
  • Oversee the creation of channel-specific marketing materials, such as brochures, case studies, blog posts, and white papers, that highlight the company's products and industry expertise.
  • Lead the company's digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO, PPC campaigns, CRM/email marketing, and social media to drive traffic and generate leads.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
  • Plan and coordinate the company's participation in industry trade shows, conferences, and sponsorship events to showcase our products and capabilities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation while ensuring continuous professional growth.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost efficiency while achieving maximum impact.
  • Work closely with the sales, product development/technical, and customer service teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies based on performance data and key metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial B2B environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Willingness to undertake business travel (up to 25% of time).
