About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Maternal Medicine and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-led care to patients with obstetric and gynaecological conditions, with a focus on Maternal Medicine.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including the design and implementation of new clinical pathways and protocols.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including the supervision of junior doctors and medical students.
  • Engage in research and audit activities to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • MBBS (or equivalent) and MRCOG (or equivalent) qualifications.
  • CCT and/or inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC (or within six months of Appointments Advisory Committee).
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Advanced Labour Ward Practice ATSM (or equivalence) and ATSM Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy (or equivalence).
  • Experience of Maternal Medicine at secondary provider level and recent active involvement in practical intrapartum obstetrics.
